Menopause is a normal stage of aging marked by permanent cessation of menstruation. The menopausal transition is often the most symptomatic phase with women experiencing a broad range of symptoms.  Management, which includes hormonal and nonhormonal therapies, should be individualized based on age, medical history and patient preference. The care for menopausal women should include education and promoting awareness of symptoms, treatment choices and lifestyle strategies that support overall health and well‑being.
