APhA Pharmacy Technician Immunization Training Program

The New Jersey Pharmacists Association will be offering the APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration for Pharmacy Technicians program on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Please be sure to read the entirety of this form to ensure you are fully aware of your responsibilities for this program. Please note: this program is designated for pharmacy technicians only–this program is not for pharmacists.
Course fee includes a one year NJPhA Pharmacy Technician membership!

Pharmacy technicians currently employed at a pharmacy with a licensed immunizing pharmacist should arrange for the pharmacist to assess their injection technique at work. An assessment form is provided for the licensed immunizing pharmacists to complete and upload through the eLearning portal.
Virtual Training Consent:
The APhA Certificate Training Program hosted by the New Jersey Pharmacists Association will be offered in a virtual format. Zoom Video Conferencing will be used to deliver the live session on November 15, 2022. By registering for this program, you agree to participate in the live portion of the course by using active video and audio feed through your computer. Additionally, you agree to complete the injection technique skills assessment independently through your workplace . Credit for completion of the training program will only be granted to participants who complete the self-study requirements, are verified as physically present throughout the duration of the live session, complete the skills process with a passing assessment, and receive a passing score on the online post-test.
Program Details
The program is composed of a an online self-study component combined with a live seminar that teaches hands-on immunization techniques, this program will provide a total of (6) six hours of continuing education for technicians.

This ACPE activity does not provide a certification in this topic but rather advanced professional training which upon successful completion the learner will be able to download a certificate of achievement. Administration by Pharmacy Technicians training program is approved for a total of 6.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit (0.6 CEUs). The ACPE Universal Activity Numbers (UAN) for this activity are listed below.
